El Movimiento Apostólico Schoenstatt, que congrega a devotos de María, fue fundado por el Padre José Kentenich, el día 18 de octubre del año 1914, en una capilla abandonada en el Valle de Schoenstatt, cerca de la Ciudad de Vallendar, en la República de Alemania. La palabra Schoenstatt significa lugar hermoso. Ese día y en ese lugar, Kentenich con unos jóvenes, se consagraron a la Virgen María sellando una gran alianza fundada en el amor verdadero y santo. En la actualidad existen más de 180 capillas de la Virgen de Schoenstattesparcidas por todo el mundo y que son réplicas de la capilla original, ubicada enSchoenstatt. En ellas los peregrinos reciben 3 gracias: el cobijamiento espiritual, la transformación interior y la fecundida apostólica. La Virgen de Schoenstatt tiene el título de Madre Tres Veces Admirable.
